The Cellar

Koelenhof Wine Cellar has emerged from humble beginnings as a bulk wine producer. The grower-owned winery was established in 1941, with the De Vries family at the helm. Members of the family continue to play an integral role at the winery, supported by a dedicated team of staff and loyal partners. Today, Koelenhof presses an impressive 16 000 tons of grapes every year; the fruit of the labour and commitment of 70 local shareholders.

The winery remains humble, despite collecting a string of awards. In 2009, Koelenhof received top honours as South Africa’s Best Value Cellar Overall in WINE magazine’s 2009 Best Value Wine Guide. Koelenhof’s own label wines offer that elusive combination of superb quality and excellent value.
